Pend Oreille County, Wash. Selects New World Systems Public Administration Software Solutions

Pend Oreille County, Wash. is preparing for new technology and software that will create efficiencies, improve accountability and streamline the way the County does business. Pend Oreille County has signed a contract to license New World Systems’ integrated Logos.NET® Public Administration suite of applications on the Microsoft.NET™ platform.
After evaluating various providers, the County selected New World’s user-friendly solutions to replace a legacy system that is no longer supported by their previous vendor. Ease of use, cutting-edge technology and the ability to meet the State of Washington’s unique reporting requirements were all key factors in selecting New World’s solutions over the other software vendors County officials reviewed.
“New World has dedicated many man-hours to make their software compliant with the State of Washington’s numerous requirements,” said Marianne Nichols, County Auditor. “They have a reputation for working closely with customers, like they did here in Washington, to ensure the functionality is there for state reporting compliance. This commitment has definitely opened doors for New World throughout the State of Washington.”

New World will provide Pend Oreille County with Logos.NET Financial Management, Payroll and Human Resources, Community Development, eSuite and Business Analytics software developed in-house using proven Microsoft.NET™ technology, industry-standard Windows® Server and SQL® Server. The new software will provide better budgeting processes and control, more robust reporting and electronic workflow. The completely integrated applications will save time for County employees and improve data accuracy by eliminating redundant data entry.
“We liked New World’s software immediately upon seeing it in use during the demonstrations,” said Nichols. “From the beginning, New World’s software was the most user friendly of all the solutions we evaluated. It will eliminate the need to re-key information and completely modernize our business processes with dramatically improved workflow.”
New World’s software will also provide much easier access to information through robust reporting capabilities and a new tool for data analysis. Using Logos.NET Business Analytics, Pend Oreille County officials will have financial information at their fingertips to make better informed business decisions. Pend Oreille County will also empower employees and vendors and improve service to more than 13,000 residents with New World’s eSuite software. Soon, employees, vendors and citizens of the County will be able to request services and view information anytime, anywhere via the Internet.
“New World’s software is light-years ahead of what we are operating on now,” said Commissioner Laura Merrill. “Using it, we will be able to do more than we can even recognize at this point. It will create much better efficiencies for Pend Oreille County. Although this software change was forced on us by our former provider, after implementation we will provide better service to the public with New World Systems’ solutions.”
