Introduction

In July 1999, Georgetown County, SC chose New World Systems' Logos Public Administration software, specifically the fully integrated Financial Management and Human Resources applications. Finance Director Sabrena Posey used New World's software when she worked for the City of Georgetown. When she began working for Georgetown County, she recommended New World again.

 

"I knew that New World's integrated software and services would meet the County's needs," said Posey. "The integrated system automates the procurement and approval process, eliminating the handling of paper. Now requisitions and purchase orders can be easily viewed and approved within the system, relieving a lot of the workload."

 

Overcoming Challenges

The real obstacle was helping the County's employees feel more at ease using a computer to do their everyday tasks. Team members of New World's professional services department were able to help them overcome their reservations.

 

"New World went above and beyond in training our people, which I found impressive," said Posey. "The individuals who helped us were very patient, making sure everyone was at ease before moving to the next lesson. We probably would not be as efficient if it was not for the training we received. It meant a lot to me."

New World continuously implements new programs to better service its customers. For example, New World assigns dedicated customer service representatives to individual customers, providing more one-on-one attention. The latest innovative approach to customer service is New World's MyNewWorld service website, which allows customers to submit an issue and check the status as well as download PTFs and manuals, providing critical information immediately.
