As a Software Architect, Bob is responsible for the quality of New World’s technology and ensuring that our solutions constantly live up to leading-technology practices.
“I work with New World’s Solution Consultants on a daily basis to ensure that our products are being built using the correct technologies and the best practices available,” said Bob.
Over the years, Bob has had the opportunity to work in various areas of New World’s Solution Consulting Team. He began his career at New World writing code as a Solution Consultant. One of the advantages of working at New World is the constant opportunity for personal growth, which Bob has taken advantage of. Before long, he moved up to a Sr. Solution Consultant, and then went on to his current position as one of several Software Architects.
“The thing I like most about New World is all of the opportunity to work on different software,” explains Bob. “We have a lot of different products that have many different uses and needs. As part of software development at New World we get to move around and work on different areas of products with different people. You can work on one project and then move on to make an impact somewhere else.”
As a Software Architect, Bob works closely with New World team members designing and building the software. New World’s team environment involves a lot of collaboration and requires practice in “thinking outside of the box.” Because New World’s software development is driven by customer needs, Bob and the rest of the development team work closely with Customer Advisory Groups and maintain contact with customers throughout the development process which is a tremendous advantage for customers who choose New World but also creates a fun and interactive environment for New World employees.
“It’s such an accomplishment to see the impact that the software we create has in helping our customers solve crimes and streamline organizational processes,” said Bob. “It’s rewarding to actually see our public safety customers respond to emergencies and save lives with the software we’ve built.”
